Photographs
These photographs are digitized from selected archival fonds and collections of late 19th Century and early 20th Century photographers. The majority of the Whyte Museum’s photographs have not been digitized and may be viewed in the Archives Reference Room.

Whyte Museum and Alpine Club of Canada Library
Includes books, periodicals, theses, pamphlets, commercial film, and sound recordings. Also includes selected books and periodicals from the Alpine Club of Canada Library. Both libraries are non-circulating.

Archives Society of Alberta Databases
- ANA (Archives Network of Alberta) Database has over 10,000 descriptions of archival records held in Alberta’s archives .
- Alberta InSight Database consists of selected photographs held in Alberta’s archives.
- Alberta InWord is a growing database of textual records (diaries, letters, etc.) held in Alberta’s archives.
AMICUS, the Canadian National Catalogue contains the catalogue of the National Library and other Canadian Libraries, including the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies Library and the Alpine Club of Canada Library.
Canadian North West Archival Network concurrently searches for descriptions of records held in publicly-accessible archives in Alberta, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories and the Yukon.
Canadian Archival Information Network (CAIN) contains descriptions of archival records across Canada
Images Canada database contains images from participating archives, libraries, and museums from across Canada.
Our future, our past : The Alberta Heritage Digitization Project (AHDP) provides online access to cultural and heritage materials, including newspapers from 1885, books about local communities, legal documents, and historic photographs.
